Frequently asked questions
What does competitor tracking show?
You name your rivals and see them beside your site: shared keywords and average position. On Pro, a deep dive on a rival adds its battlecard, top-10 count and estimated visits.
How do I choose which rivals to track?
TrustGrowth lists the sites that show up on your searches and marks the ones that look like rivals. You review those and track the ones you agree with, or add a competitor yourself.
What is a battlecard?
One card per rival, on Pro. It says what to learn from them, where you can beat them, and your next move. Each card carries a confidence level based on which sources are available: deep dive, link gap and Labs data.
Are the visit numbers exact?
No. Visits are estimates from DataForSEO, a data provider, and the product marks them as estimated. Search Console shows real clicks, and only for your own site.
How often do the numbers update?
A full analysis runs every 30 days when it is due. A light check runs every Monday.
How many rivals can I track?
5 on Starter and 25 on Pro. Free does not track rivals, but it is the first step: add your site, run the audit, and add the plan when you want this page.
Can I see which sites link to my rivals and not to me?
On Pro. Find link gaps lists the sites that link to your rivals and not to you.
Does it tell me what to publish?
On Pro, it shows the keywords a rival ranks for and you do not. Mark one Relevant on your keyword list and your next strategy can use it. You write the page. Briefs and the calendar are coming soon.
